LEAD TEACHER of our FANTASTIC FOURS
Prior to joining the preschool, Michele worked 15 plus years as a Program Director for the YMCA which included supervision of Summer Day Camps, Before and After School Childcare programs, and all of the Health and Wellness Programs. She also taught the Preschool Gymnastics Program and Homeschool PE classes. Michele is currently working for Davie County Schools where she has subbed for seven-plus years. She has three daughters and in her spare time enjoys traveling with them to their cheer competitions near and far.
LEAD TEACHER of our ENTHUSIASTIC THREES
Amanda earned her Certificate in Preschool education from Liberty University. Prior to coming to the preschool, she was a stay at home mom for 3 years and worked in the medical field for 16 years. Amanda and her husband, Roger, have four wonderful children, 2 dogs, and 3 cats. In her spare time, she enjoys watching her son play in the marching band at Davie High and going to see one of her daughters cheer for Shady Grove. Amanda loves working with children and feels God led her to teach little ones.
LEAD TEACHER of our TERRIFIC TWOS
Nancy is excited to be joining the Hillsdale Preschool. She is from Danville, Virginia and moved here with her husband and daughter. She is the mother of 1 and loves children. Aside from working at the preschool, she also works with individuals who have mental and physical disabilities doing in-home care. She has been doing direct support care since 2009. Nancy feels blessed that God has allowed her this opportunity and looks forward to working with the children.
LEAD TEACHER of our WONDERFUL ONES
Sally grew up in southwest Virginia and moved to this great area after graduating from Radford University in 1996. Soon, thereafter, she met her husband, Scott, and they have been married for 20 years and have two teenagers. Rescuing dogs is their family’s passion and their Scottish Terriers are a big part of their day and family. Before joining the preschool team at Hillsdale Church, mentoring for Communities in Schools filled Sally’s volunteer time. Having the ability to learn from children is equally as important as them learning from us adults--we are all in this together. When not at the preschool, Sally works in real estate, too. Helping family and friends find a new home is a great and challenging job, but working with children is a true calling. Proverbs 17:17 A friend loves at all times.
